# Numbers, symbols and units

Just like grammar, there are rules for formatting numbers and monetary amounts that must be followed.

## General

- **Words should be used for numbers from zero through nine, and numerals should be used from 10 onwards.**
- **Don't use numerals before 10.**

Caution

Use numerals whatever the number if:
- you indicate a number of tasks or notification
- the number is followed by a unit or symbol (euro, cm, h, etc.)
